8/15 Hoeing Down in Idaho

We awoke in the suburbs of Spokane with our friends from Exhausted Prayer and Zingaia. I for one was extremely well rested after a long sleep in the tent (Joe speaking). We hung out in the super comfy living room for awhile watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force and taking care of some internet business (buying books for college online, lol). It was a day off so we took to the road with no real plan in mind save getting some of the way to our next stop, Idaho Falls.

We decided it’d be best to find a nice campsite and hang out for the day, resting up a bit. After many failed attempts finding a campsite (most of the ones we called needed a four day advance reservation, wtf amirite?) we came upon Albert’s Landing in the beautiful outdoors of Idaho. For an extremely affordable rate we were given two sites near the crystal clear water which, needless to say, we immediately swam in.

The scenery was gorgeous and we explored awhile before the sun began to get high in the sky. It was immediately evident that a camp fire was in order and so Karl, Sean, Matt, and I headed over to the Wal-Mart 15 minutes away and grabbed some buns, dogs, brats, marshmallows, and graham crackers (we didn't need chocolate because Andy from Seattle already generously supplied us with a monster bag of it).

It was all business as soon as we got back, building a fire in our famished state. The fire lit pretty instantaneously and before we knew it we were cooking up some damn tasty brats. While we had been at Wal-Mart, Dave and Selena had the impeccable sensibility to walk down to the local gas station to pick up a few beers to perfect the combination of supplies.

bwahhahah!
We lazed around contentedly in a haze of hedonism, enjoying the cool Idaho air and the warm fire before us. After the brats we broke out the huge pack of hot dogs and by the time we'd finished those we could barely stomach the smores.
