Last night's show in Rock Hill, South Carolina was cool as shit! When we learned weeks ago we would be playing at a place called The Courtroom, we did not expect the venue to be an
actual court house.

On the way to Rock Hill from Raleigh, one of the worst pictures in the history of the universe was taken. It is written into band law that we have to post all of the truck sleeping pics, so here is me looking about as bad as I could possibly look.

Once we made it to the The Courtroom, the pangs of hunger started to kick in. Karl, that crazy bastard, was resting his laurels on a 1.5 lbs of rotten ravioli, that had been sitting in a tupperware container inside the hot truck for over two days. The smell of that ravioli was like the fermenting innards of satan's innards. Anybody who has gone on tour knows that every penny counts, so there is no wasting food in the Autolatry truck!

Inside The Courtroom was an actual courtroom. It was pretty surreal walking into this place and attempting to fathom a show happening there. We later found out that The Courtroom doesn't disappoint!

Autolatry had the pleasure of playing the middle spot of the show, sandwitched between two awesome bands. Our set went great again, and we were so grateful to play in such a unique venue! Towering Pyre (
http://www.facebook.com/toweringpyre) from Charlotte kicked off the night with an awesome blend of dense, atmospheric blackened disgustingness. Their frontwoman Morgan's vocals were perfectly piercing, and the whole ensemble was very impressive! Also they have some of the coolest artwork we've seen, so go check them the hell out! http://www.facebook.com/explodinghorse), who also hail from Charlotte, brought the evening to a close in brutal, slamming fashion! Their heavy as shit, technical tightness slammed us into oblivion and their stage antics were enough to keep us laughing our asses off. Like their shit on facebook and check 'em!
Let's thank all the awesome people of Rock Hill, SC for being so badass! Mike, the promoter and show organizer, and the awesome dude who put us up for the night - fuck yeah man, you rock! The bands Towering Pyre and Exploding Horse - you guys both slayed last night and made it such a fun time. And huge thanks to all those who came out and supported us, the bands and the scene last night. Rock Hill fucking rocks!
We're getting ready to hit the road for Winston-Salem, North Carolina right now. Tonight's show is another house show at The Black Lodge, so we are really pumped for this! Check back here tomorrow for the next write-up!
